April Farm Equestrian Centre has been trading for 10 years now and in that time, we have turned a very derelict property in to a facility of which we are extremely proud.

Gary and Janet Shaughnessy along with Sharon Quant had a vision to create a facility where you can enjoy and experience a show venue set up in a relaxed and welcoming environment for either hire or training with Sharon. Naturally we also wanted horses onsite too so alongside our clients visiting us, we offer a high-end DIY livery package, but with the added bonus of facilities you would normally only experience at full livery yards at premium full livery prices!
Our beautiful arena was one of the first facilities we added along with extensive improvements to already existing buildings and stable block. This enabled us to not only offer arena hire but DIY livery too within the first year.
We regularly welcome Riding and Pony clubs, outside coaches and other associations along with lots of individual private clients too.

April Farm is also very proud to be the main base for British Showjumping’s Berkshire and Oxon Junior Academy of which Sharon Quant has been the lead coach for the past 10 years.
Sharon Quant offers onsite training as a BS level 3 coach and also manages the yard and all things April Farm related! She lives on site with her husband Chris and their young family and enjoys welcoming all clients, both new and existing, to our beautiful venue.
